LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) ? George Hamilton?s publicist says the perpetually tan U.S. actor has undergone treatment for skin cancer.
Hamilton, 71, has appeared in the films ?Where the Boys Are,? ?Love at First Bite,? ?Zorro, the Gay Blade? and ?The Godfather, Part III,? as well as the TV miniseries ?Roots.?
?Yes, it is true. He did have a medical procedure due to some skin cancer that was removed,? Hamilton?s representative Jeffrey Lane told E! News. ?He has been in the sun for years and years and years, and has managed to escape sun damage. This was something that several months ago he was told he would have to have. ? It certainly isn?t life threatening. He is absolutely fine.?
Hamilton will soon be seen in the Broadway revival of ?La Cage aux Folles.?
