We are only a week away from the final!! How is that possible? It seems like the season has just started. Tonight the Top 6 perform. My absolute favorite is Sasha, I really want a girl to win it all. The guest judges tonight are Christina Applegate and Lil C! Yay ? I think Christina may have some good insight (fingers crossed). Two partner dances and a solo tonight for each dancer. They must be absolutely exhausted by now.

Melanie and Twitch (Season 4) ? Hip Hop (Roman?s Revenge ? Nicki Minaj f. Lil Wayne) ? NappyTabs choreographers. Little Red Riding Hood with some swagger?Melanie never ceases to amaze me. I generally find it impossible not to stare at Twitch when he is performing. Tonight I barely gave him a cursory glance because Melanie was so explosive and wonderful. She is definitely my second choice to win it all. This is a HARD song to dance to and they knocked it out of the park.
Sasha and Kent (Season 7) ? Contemporary (Fool Of Me ? Me?Shell Ndegeocello) Tyce Diorio choreographer. A relationship with some difficulties. I audibly gasped when I heard the first note of this song ? it is one of my ALL time favorite songs EVER!! I was gobsmacked by this dance. The lifts, the physicality, the pure emotion of it all. I mean?the climbing the walls and?everything?else. Tyce put everything he had into this dance and his dancers responded more than appropriately. I am sure this will be nominated for an Emmy next year. Simply amazing ? this performance made me CRY, for real.
Marko and Janette (Season 5) ? Paso Doble (Zorongo ? Traditional) Dmitry Chaplin choreographer. This is incredibly hard music to dance to. It is essentially a series of hand-claps and guitar riffs. Marko held his own, but he was definitely wobbly here and there. Out of the first three dances he has been the weakest so far. He needs to step up in his next dance. Ricky solo (After Tonight ? Justin Nozuka) ? I love that he used this song. Justin is a great artist.
Tadd and Ellenore (Season 6) ? Contemporary (The Gulag Orkestar ? Beirut) ? Sonya Tayeh choreographer. A couple?s first touch?sounds like a lot of kissing of feet? I love kooky Sonya. The chandelier and chair as props were pretty astonishing. It had a eerie, broken circus thing going on. I quite liked it ? but there were more tricks than dance steps, but it was pretty cool overall. Again ? so nuts that this kid is a B-Boy.
Caitlynn solo (What?s Love Got To Do With It ? Katie Thompson) ? cool version of this song.
Ricky and Jaimie (Season 3) ? Contemporary (Inside These Lines ? Trent Dabbs) ? Dee Caspary choreographer. The lines are literally sticks that Ricky is holding. He had some really difficult lifts to manage while holding those sticks. It was a pretty dance, I did not feel much connection between the two of them, but it was danced very well.
Tadd solo (We Speak No Americano ? Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP) ? this is a really fun song.
Sasha solo (Teeth ? Lady Gaga)
Caitlynn and Pasha (Season 3) ? Samba (Drop It Low ? Kat DeLuna) ? Dmitry Chaplin choreographer. Naughty time for Caitlynn?hmm. It was technically a nice dance, but Pasha danced circles around her. She tried hard to bring it but I did not feel it. She has fabulous hips though.
Marko solo (Wonderful World (acoustic) ? James Morrison) ? beautiful song
Melanie solo (Cracks ? Freestylers f. Belle Humble) ? she suspends in air when she leaps!
Sasha and Ricky ? Waacking (Schoolin? Life ? Beyonc?) -?Kumari Sulaj choreographer. What the hell kind of dance is this? Is it like that Russian craziness that they profiled a couple of years ago? Nope ? it is from the 70s club scene ? think of Princess Lockeroo from the auditions. This was a strenuous dance and it was cute enough, but I would have preferred they brought back disco! They both seemed tired and just not totally committed. Can?t win them all.
Melanie and Tadd ? Broadway ((Where Do I Begin) Love Story (Away Team Remix) ? Shirley Bassey) ? Spencer Liff?choreographer. This dance reminds me of A Chorus Line or ?All That Jazz?- director in love with his muse. They were great but a little tepid. I really think the multitude of dances tonight is getting to them.
Caitlynn and Marko ? Jazz (Heavy in Your Arms ? Florence + The Machine) ? Sonya Tayeh choreographer. Though Caitlynn is an odd choice for this dance ? she really brought it. She and Marko pair nicely and they told a brilliant story. Lil C called it double hash tag Buck!!
All of the performers were rather exceptional tonight! It is all up to the voters at this point. Who is going home? Who stays?
